Sr. Bridget Donaldson, OSB Memorial Dedication - October 1, 2023 at Noon
The dedication will take place at noon followed by a reception. All are invited.
This beautiful and striking memorial pays tribute to Sr. Bridget’s spirit of hospitality, love, and generosity towards all, based on her Benedictine Gospel values. Designed and commissioned by the pastoral and finance council
under the direction of Fr. Parr, the stone table and bronze statue of Jesus have been completed and set in place on the new stamped concrete patio and adorned by landscaping outside the double doors at the front of the church. This memorial stands as a reminder that we are all invited to sit at table with Jesus and with one another, and it is our hope that this table will be used frequently by us all. Sr. Bridget would be so pleased by that, as she so often sat at table with so many of us.
We wish to thank all those who donated to this memorial along with the many businesses involved in this project. We commissioned Canadian sculptor, Timothy Schmalz, for the bronze statue of Jesus to be placed at a stone table, which was created by Biesanz Stone in Winona. Excavating was done by Dirt Pro Excavating, the stamped concrete patio and sidewalks by Wieser Brothers, landscaping by Ziegler's and help was given from Wendler Construction in placing the pieces.
Please join us on this very special day to remember Sr. Bridget and to honor her legacy. Wear your green in remembrance of Sister, especially if you were part of the Hunger Walk with the Sister Bridget Brigade team!
